CID PowerPoint Reflections:))

Yih Jie:
As i spent time with my group members preparing for the presentation, i realised that we bonded more. During the preparation of the Chingay presentation, we met some difficulties but however we over came them as a group. With everyone contributing to parts of the presentation, we finished it in a few week's time. As the date for the presentation nears, i got very nervous. As all the different groups presented, i learnt even more about Chingay and their point if views. I also hope we can do better for future presentations.

Si Min:
I feel that this presentation help us to learn more about Chingay. As we need to have research on Chingay , understand why Singapore wanted to have Chingay every year and the reason why Chingay is important . We even get to experience Chingay because of this presentation! :) This was like the best presentation ever! This presentation also trains us for the courage we have and the confidence we have in ourselves. We were taught that we need to be loud and clear ,maintain the eye contact with the audience and not be monotonous in the way u speak. Thus , I think this presentation was useful and as Mr Chua say, it will help a lot in our project work in year 5:)

Wen Qing:
I feel that the presentation helped alot of us to understand more about the project called 'knit with one heart' and 'paint with one heart' as we all get to understand each others views of the projects. Also, many groups researched on their favourite performances and shared with the class during the presentation, allowing many of us to understand the purpose of different performances. When doing this presentation, alot of us need courage to stand infront of the whole class and speak loudly, do hand gestures and eye contact with the class. Hence, I think that this presentation is another very effective way to improving our public speaking skills. Through this presentation, I also learnt how to work with my group effectively and have a sense of responsibility. This presentation also helped many of us recap on what we learnt during chingay. I think that this presentation is very relevant and useful and I certainly gained alot from it!

Ming Yi:
Through this presentation, I realized that teamwork is extremely important and so is the cooperation of every single group member. With a limited time to complete our project, we have to find time when everyone is free to meet up and complete our project. Also, when we split the jobs up so that when somebody is doing the PowerPoint, the others can search for pictures and come up with the script too. We needed to think back on what happened on Chingay, and also had to understand further about the racial harmonious spirit among Singaporeans that is brought out during the Multi-Cultural performance in Chingay. This allowed us to better understand about the theme, Colors of fabric, One people. People of different backgrounds are like the different Colors of fabric, one people as we are united as one, in Singapore:)))

Eugene:
I think that the CID presentations were great as our class performed well. I find that it is a good opportunity to see what we have learnt from the Chingay and doing so we can thus remember this years Chingay clearly and as a memorable one. I think that the many different groups used different approaches to organize their slides and present differently. Showing the uniqueness of our own class. I hope that the next time when we watch another performance we can learn more from it and do something different but meaningful.
