EUGENE:
I learnt that a picture paints a thousand words! It depicts the the scene at the moment. Showing the landscape scenery. I feel that a picture tells us what it means to be there but not there at the same time.
We learn how to observe and communicate with the people around us. Showing clear evidence of what is going on. Examples of stress, tiredness, happiness and sadness. Who r the people who care, sleeps little and that's how we observe.
MING YI:
From the past three weeks, I learnt alot of skills from the CID classes such as how to gather information from sources such as pictures. However, the information gathered might not be accurate as it is based on your observation and inference skills. You also nid some statements from the person or witnesses to confirm your assumptions or change it. We should never judge a book by its cover and just assume like the incident about the female and male beggar.
SI MIN:
From the past 3 weeks , I have learnt lots of things.
Such as in lesson 2, we learnt how to gather meaning and thoughts form what we see, and to understand that what we see might not always be the truth and we have seen poverty in other Countries and even in Singapore.
We also learnt the basics of photography skills and the skills to make our blog posts more interesting and meaningful. We also tried using our observation skills to describe the environment in our school.
I think I have learnt a lot in lesson 2. As it was our first lesson and a picture really meant a thousand words. It can be a simple picture like a child and a toy . But it can also mean a child that is abandoned but he or she is only left with a toy that was given by his or her parents as a last gift :)
WEN QING:
CID lessons have taught me numerous stuffs. I learnt not to judge a book by it's cover. We must have evidence to be able to judge, and in this way, we will not hurt anyone!
Also, we learn more about other countries. We learnt how some of the people in other countries are treated, what kind of environment they live in. And from these informations, we learnt to appreciate what we have.
YIH JIE:
In the past few CID lessons, we learnt quite a few things. We learnt that a picture paints a thousand words and it might not always be how we see it. Just like in the case of the beggar , she may look vey pitiful but she actually works for a syndicate. In another lesson, we did observations about RV's environment and people. And at the previous lesson , we learnt about giving a good presentation. Where we had some practice and learnt the attributes to do so. I learnt that we should not judge a book by its cover like how we should not offer help to the women working for a syndicate just because she appears pitiful.
